“Stories Come Alive”, will enact epic segment / episodes from Asian legends such as Ramayana depicting the various versions from Asia.
Told through the medium of dance theatre, this programme will delight audiences with its unique and uncanny display of dances, music and costumes.
These segments will also provide audiences a chance to view stories from yester-years told from the epic through dance. The performance will also include various elements of contemporary and traditional dance styles, infused together to further pulsate the show.
– LEARNING OBJECTIVES –
1. Audiences will gain knowledge of Asian epic, Ramayana.
2. Audiences will also be provided with an opportunity to understand how this epic came about and at times, became a part of the people’s culture and traditions.
3. Sharing stories through dance theatre to better understand the Asian epic.
4. Witness Asian contemporary movements originating from traditional dances from Asia.
